Bears are indigenous to the area and are often seen near or on our properties. Please do not leave food or trash outside.
Kitchen and Outdoor Cooking: The kitchen is stocked with dishes and cookware. We provide a standard coffee maker or a Keurig, so please bring along your preferred grounds or pods.
Regarding the Grill: While we often have a grill available for guest use, we cannot guarantee its availability or condition for every stay. If it is on-site, please note that propane/charcoal is the guest's responsibility. There may be some left over from previous guests, or you can pick some up at a local shop.

"My family and I had a great time. The home is great for a quiet getaway to the national park. It was great to see the bears and rabbits off the back porch! There was a slight hiccup in getting access to the wifi but communication was an easy fix. We had a great time! I did happen to read previous reviews where the home wasn't clean. It was clean for us. I wouldn't let those reviews deter you from booking."

"If you’re thinking of booking your family a trip this is the place! I cannot even begin to express how helpful Avada was. The home was beautiful, peaceful, and nature friendly. The atmosphere of the neighborhood is so welcoming. We took are one year old and he loved it. Avada provided us with all of the things we needed for our son! they’re also one of the nicest people. the first night we had a very bad storm, lightening had hit the water tank and caused everyone’s water to go out. Avada immediately got to work on fixing our issue. We all began to think the water wouldn’t come back on, Avada offered us a different property they own and were willing to relocate us. Luckily the water came back on! But still, it was so sweet that they would try to have us enjoy are experience than just refunding us like most hosts. Once again, please check them out. 10/10. Looking forward to staying with them again :)"

"We had a wonderful stay at this Gatlinburg property! The house was very clean and well-maintained, and we didn’t encounter any issues during our visit. The only minor hiccup was with the internet, but the host responded quickly and had it fixed right away—much appreciated!The location is a bit of a drive from downtown Gatlinburg, but for us, that was actually a huge plus. It made for a peaceful and relaxing experience, with absolutely beautiful mountain views.One of the highlights of our trip was the wildlife—on several drives to and from the property, we saw over 10 bears, and even spotted a few right outside the property. It truly felt like an unforgettable, up-close Smoky Mountain experience!Each evening, we enjoyed unwinding in the hot tub while taking in the mountain scenery. "Host was very polite and quick responses to text. Loved this house. It's lovated at the top of the mountain with a beautiful drive past Ober ski mountain. The hot tub was great and sauna worked well. I do wish there were instructions and a small bucket to fill water for the sauana. The gaming table did not work, which was a disappointment. It would have been nice for some family fun. Overall, our stay was great. Clise to ober mountain town and ski adventure park. Pigeon forge is just a 25 min drive and Dollywood was amazing! We would definitely stay here again!!!"

Just make sure you watch the road driving to and from or you’ll take an expedited trip to the bottom! We did see 6 bears on our way to dinner on our last night so keep eyes open for them."

"Great place on top of a mountain but that awesome location does have drawbacks! The drive back down into town was long and windy and caused nausea every time for our son. Not the easiest place to go for a run or walk the dog unless we drove down to gatlinburg trail. The views and sunrise were gorgeous and there was a lot of privacy. The house was as described but does need some attention, lots of little things broken or in slight disrepair. There was only one towel per guest which was tough with the hot tub as well, we had to dry them in between use. No bathmats so always a puddle on the floor. And there were none of the expected little extras in the kitchen such as foil or sandwich bags or any cleaners to clean counters or etc. just some things to note for future guests. Come prepared with those extras and it’s a great spot!"

"Such a great place to stay. The view here is AMAZING. This was our first visit to Gatlinburg and staying here made it nice. We saw 4 bears and 2 baby bears while staying. We like that it was so high up and on a cul-de-sac. Place was clean but the inside couch and outside couch had few stain spots on them, not a issue though.Communication time was quick n easy. Definitely would stay here again."

"Very peaceful cabin on Panoramic View. About a 15 min drive to Gatlinburg and 25 to Pigeon Forge. Time to relax in pool, hot tub or sauna and reenergize yourself. Nice amenities in home and relaxing patio views. We were two couples so nice having two full baths (upstairs and down) Only caution is the drive which is a bit scary at times if not use to hilly mountain roads but we mastered it( slow speed at time ) Thank you again Shane for making a great anniversary trip stay for us."

"Loved it. We would stay again - Very cute. Loved the hot tub. I really loved the openess of the lay out. Loved all the vinyl and tiled floors. We really wanted to be ablebto use the pool.Or at least lay out by it to tan. But it was not open. The dogs loved it too. Very quite. A small yard but placed to walk the dogs down the road..They only suppied one towel per person. Which was a little challeging trying to use for hot tub and showers. Overall a great stay ..would stay there agsin.."

Be prepared for the journey up and down, the winding roads were challenging for us at times but again the views made everything worth it. It's up on top the mountain (only about 15/20 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg or pigeon forge) but it was so peaceful and quiet and we had amazing views! After putting the little to bed at night we would sit in the hot tub and relax. It was so nice to have a full house and feel like we were in the middle of the woods it was so quiet. Place was clean, beds comfy. And had everything you'd need. We did lots of hiking and this place is easy to get to the Smoky mountains to hike!"

"We loved our stay at Shane’s place! It was great with our two young children and dog. The house is at the VERY top of the mountain. Very authentic experience with beautiful views. It comes with the territory, but definitely be aware that the road up is wild. If anyone has anxiety or gets carsick, they might prefer something closer to town. We thought the hot tub beneath the stars with a view of the neighboring mountain was so amazing. Beds were comfy and decor perfect! Have already recommended the place to friends and would love to return!"

"First off the views from the place are perfect. Exactly what we wanted for our mountain vacation. The place had everything we needed and the team responded very quickly for any questions and concerns. The winding road up can be a bit long but the views make it worth it especially from the back deck. We would definitely stay here again when we come back. "Loved our stay! The views are amazing from the top. Loved the layout of the house. We also all loved the gaming table upstairs, and the hot tub! It is easier to get there with all wheel/4 wheel drive when driving up on the road from Gatlinburg, just heads up- it’s steep. There is another way from The Spur for smaller cars. Definitely would stay here again!"
