Bears are indigenous to the area and are often seen near or on our properties. Please do not leave food or trash outside.
Kitchen and Outdoor Cooking: The kitchen is stocked with dishes and cookware. We provide a standard coffee maker or a Keurig, so please bring along your preferred grounds or pods.
Regarding the Grill: While we often have a grill available for guest use, we cannot guarantee its availability or condition for every stay. If it is on-site, please note that propane/charcoal is the guest's responsibility. There may be some left over from previous guests, or you can pick some up at a local shop.

Our primary residence is in Chicago, and Chicago has a beautiful a downtown and amazing views as well. However, you will not find the peace and connection to nature. The location is perfect to attractions, and the setting up on the hill is spot on for the Smoky Mountain feel. Cabin was spacious, the game room a hit, and there was enough towels for our 2 night stay. If I could recommend anything, it may be time for new dining room chairs. Most had the wobble problem common with modern furniture. Would book again and recommend to friends."

"Nice place to stay! - The cabin was very nice and roomy for our family of 9. The grandkids enjoyed the fooseball and arcade games and the adults enjoyed the extra room to spread out! We enjoyed the hot tub as well, but never got to the pool area! The door entry was a little tricky. It was nice to be so close to places along the parkway. We had a few questions and issues at check-in and during the week that the owner addressed promptly. One suggestion is to have a binder in the cabin with wi-fi information, pool location and map, TV information (all were different), and check-out instructions. Overall, everyone had a nice time and would come back again."

"Spacious great for large families with kids - Great location close to the main strip of Pigeon Forge but far enough you feel relaxed and in nature. Lodge community pool is nice. Not too much traffic going through the community so could walk on the roads safely to get to pool 0.3 mi away if you walk/drive on the roads. Or can cut through a steep hill behind and it’s basically across the street. 3 levels with bedrooms and baths on each level is great for our families to each have more privacy. My older parents only had to do the front porch steps otherwise could stay on the main level. Parking (2 spaces) was close and relatively flat and easily accessible. Hot tub is great and plenty of porch space on all levels and both sides of house. Game room in the loft kept the kids busy. The bunk beds are queens and very sturdy made of logs. Other beds are kings and comfy. Ceiling fans in every room. Lots of space. Would definitely stay here again if we come back to East Tennessee"

"It was a very nice big cabin. Nicely decorated, free of clutter. Beds were comfortable. There were extra blankets. Nice proximity to Pigeon Forge. Very close (1 mile) to zorbing (Outdoor Gravity Park)- we had a lot of fun there even in cooler weather in November. There is construction going on near the cabin- in winter time you can see it very well. There is wooded area between the cabin and construction site but when leaves are gone you can see it from the back porch."

"We took our family here for most of a week and found we had the cul-de-sac to ourselves. Justin was helpful for check-in and offered a quick response when we had questions. This property was very clean and in good shape. Only 4-5 minutes to the strip and most of that is exiting the development. Dollywood was only 10 minutes away. Two baby gates were available and a high chair. this was a great property for a family with younger kids, parents, and grandparents staying."

"Our family had such a great time at Bear’s Hug! The house was super spacious and we all had our own bedrooms with king beds! The kids had a great time in the loft/game room! "The Bear Hug was the perfect cabin for our family vacation! It’s close to the main road (Parkway), but still nestled in a more private feeling wooded area. All three floors had great spaces to hang out and have fun— the arcade table was an especially big hit with all kids (ages ranging 3- 16) and adults! The cabin was spotless, and stocked with plenty of linens, towels, dishes, glasses and cookware (multiple coffee pots, pans, crockpot, toaster, microwave, etc.) We felt very at home. "We stayed off season to go to Dollywood. Off season price was excellent for our large group. Games for the kids, bunk beds, TV's throughout, and a hot tub for the adults. Beautiful decor, lovely space. Kitchen was well equipped, everything worked, and when we had any questions Justin responded promptly and took care of it. We even had a maintenance issue and he arranged for an after hours service call. Overall, an excellent stay in a peaceful, beautiful cabin close to Dollywood and all that Pigeon Forge has to offer."

"Family weekend - Very nice cabin and convenient. We all enjoyed it. Should have booked a 5 bedroom cabin however. We had adequate beds for sleeping but one was a loft bedroom which presented a need for an extra bedroom. Loft bedroom had 2 queen bunk beds which adults and older teenagers had to share. Just be sure to consider that as I did not. Would definitely rebook with them again. Communication excellent also."

"This cabin is amazing! Justin started communicating immediately upon finalizing the payment. He continued communicating all the way through the end of the trip and made us feel like we are friends of the family. Everything was perfect. We had zero issues. The hot tub was great! The video game machine upstairs brought back great memories and got a ton of use. There are so many sleeping options to choose from and the beds are comfy! "Family "Jessie" Trip - Property was very nice. Easy to find and close to all things in Pigeon Forge. We were very pleased as the cabin was SUPER CLEAN! Perfect for our family. Our kids LOVED the game room with Bunk beds. HOT TUB was added bonus and very clean and ready for use on arrival. We all loved the gas logs in the FP. Made for a very cozy feel during our stay. "Perfect Cabin for Fall Getaway - We had the BEST time staying in the "Bear Hug" Cabin. It was very clean and just as advertised. There was ample space for our party of 7. Justin checked in with us multiple times and made all of the check-in/out procedures easy and clear. "Amazing Property & Great Location - I can’t say enough good things about this property!! The only negative comment I have is that the pictures don’t do this place justice. We have plenty of room for our group of six and everyone raved about their accommodations. My mom (who love to get out and have fun) said she felt like she could stay in and enjoy the hot tub the entire trip. The location is phenomenal! A short trip to the parkway and and you are in the heart of the best Pigeon Forge has to offer! Justin and Kari have a real gem in this place and they are great hosts; very responsive and will give you all the info you need prior to your arrival. "Enough Space for Five Adults and Five Children - When I first started planning our trip to Pigeon Forge I was challenged with finding a cabin large enough to accommodate five adults , one of which is disabled, and five children which included two toddlers and a baby. Sleeping accommodations were a big factor due to bed times for the younger ones etc. This cabin met our every needs, with bathrooms on each floor, bunk beds for the two teenagers, plenty of space to accommodate the port-a -crib and toddler beds. It was very clean and a quick drive to most everywhere we went. Traveling with such a large group can be hectic, but having a nice place to stay help make things a little less so. Thank you"

"Great place for a multi-family vacation - My husband and son, our older son and his family, and my parents vacationed at this wonderful home. Each couple had their own king size bedroom with its own bathroom. My parents enjoyed the main level. My son and his family had the basement to themselves. My husband, son, and I enjoyed the top floor. My son loved the queen bunk beds on the top floor. All enjoyed the jacuzzi on the main floor porch, as well as the chairs on each of the 3 porches.
The owner was quick to get back to me when I had questions about how to use anything in the home.
The location was very centrally located for many tourist attractions. The neighborhood was very quiet, and the views of forest were wonderful from the porches.
The only thing to note is that the driveway was quite slanted, so be sure to have your balance before walking away from the car.
We would definitely stay her again if we decide to travel back to the area in the future."

"Loved It - The cabin was amazing! Very conveniently located. The owner is as very prompt with answering any questions while we were there. The cleaning staff could have done a bit of a better job, there were crumbs in the crease of the futon/couch and some bugs in the floor, but nothing that wasn’t super simple to clean up. Overall we loved it and will definitely be staying again."

"Great cabin for a relaxing getaway - This cabin was even better than our expectations. It is located in a quaint neighborhood with other high end cabins . The parking easily accommodated two vehicles close to the front door unlike some of the neighboring cabins we watched jockeying their cars around on a steep driveway. The quality of construction was very good and we appreciated the lovely hardwood flooring and the quiet wooden staircase free of squeaks. With three floors, two living rooms and two large porches we were able to congregate comfortably when needed but also have space to be alone at times. Our favorite thing was to sit on the upper balcony, among the branch hopping squirrels, and enjoy the beauty. It is nicely located far enough from the hustle and bustle yet convenient to restaurants, shopping and attractions. We had a great time and would stay again in the future."

"This house was perfect. My sons are 18 and 20 and this house gave everyone their own space. Having three king bedrooms, on three levels, each with their own bathroom was great. We loved the wood cabin, outdoor feel of the house but at the same time were a mile from anything we wanted to do! The hot tub, foosball table, multiple decks and huge TV’s also gave us plenty to do while we were home. Great place!"

"Very nice, clean stay! - We had a very nice time. The cabin is very clean and nicely laid out set up for families and children. The living room upstairs off kitchen is smaller but the large living room downstairs is very nice for hanging out and relaxing! The porches are large too!

"We enjoyed our vacation at Bear hug! The house is beautiful and kept clean. On our last day we woke to 9 inches of snow so the fireplace was a luxury! Beds were all very comfortable and the extra fur blankets were needed and appreciated. Only suggestion we can leave is supplying a trash can for outside. House is conveniently located in town although just enough away from town to enjoy the beautiful woods of pigeon forge. "Family time here was a blessing! - Our family so enjoyed this cutie of a cabin. The owner was very thoughtful and accommodating to our needs. The cabin was very spacious and clean.
