"What a perfect getaway for our family! The GPS led us right to the front door, and parking and check-in were both quick and easy. We spent one evening relaxing in the hot tub and later cuddling by the fire—such a cozy way to unwind. Preparing meals was simple thanks to the fully equipped kitchen, which had everything we needed to cook or reheat food. No matter where you were in the cabin, you were surrounded by breathtaking views. The next day, we hiked in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and then headed to downtown Gatlinburg for some moonshine tasting. The cabin is both beautiful and comfortable—truly the perfect balance. If you happen to forget any toiletries or snacks, there’s convenient shopping just about a 10-minute drive down the mountain. You’ll find firewood, groceries, food, and snacks right at the base of the mountain. Be sure to try a fried pie with ice cream—it’s absolutely life-changing! We hope you have an amazing time just like we did!"

"The cabin was so clean and just as described! The kitchen was well stocked, it even has a crockpot to enjoy soup when you get back from having fun! Justin was so responsive when I messaged him about a couple of things I couldn't figure out...and patient, I really appreciated it! Our grandkids enjoyed the hot tub and pool table area so much! On arrival we did miss the road because the road sign is covered in kudzu but we knew after that to turn after the gazebo. And, we saw a bear one night on the road to the cabin right by the gazebo! A couple of things we had to figure out: To get inside you have to put in the special code, turn the "key lock" then push the handle. The lock does not automatically unlock just with the code. the living room tv but the bedroom worked fine; to make the shower work you have to pull inside the water spout down. All in all our stay was great and we definitely would return!! We also recommend Hillbilly Restaurant & The Sloppy Hog!"

It’s off the beaten path, secluded, yet close to the park and still within 15 minutes of Townsend and 20 minutes from Pigeon Forge. "We had a great time at Shane’s place! We saw LOTS of bears, one even came onto the porch while we were drinking our morning coffee in the back! Talk about a jump start to your day! If there could have been anything that was improved it would be the cleanliness. It is in the woods so we expected some evidence of bugs and nature. However, there was trash under the beds, some dust bunnies, etc. Nothing to make us feel like we couldn’t relax there though! Shane was a great host and very responsive to any questions I had."

There was plenty to do in the area and the cabin provided a great escape from the city below. Very kid friendly amenities such as pack and play, dish ware, and high chair. One thing to note is the drive up to the cabin is steep and driveway is a little uneven due to the mountain side. Definitely doable with an suv or truck, would be cautious with a car."

"Bears, bears and more bears! If you love being surrounded by nature but still want to be close to all the conveniences of the city then this is the place to be. From the balcony we saw 5 cubs and their momma numerous times during our short stay! The cabin was beautifully furnished and had an amazing hot tub, pool table and it even had a video arcade game for our family to enjoy. What most cabins don’t have is a high chair and a play pen already there to make traveling with a baby a breeze. The owners seem to have taken the time to provide every necessity. Finally, the shower in the master bath had great water pressure and never lacked for hot water which not all cabins can promise. Many cabins we have stayed at in the past lacked both, but not this one. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a great experience in the Smokies!!!"

"My husband and I spent the week here with our son, daughter in law and our 2 young grandkids. we were all very comfortable and had plenty of space. the deck was a wonderful place to sit early mornings and listen to the quiet. We did have bears visit us 2 different days. The last day a mama bear and her 5 cubs were on the porch. mama went in my sons sunroof (which he left open) and took a bag of gold fish. the kids thought that was the best thing ever. we watched the show from our front window.
