"Stayed on redtail over Labor Day weekend. This is the exact place you would want to be if you want that true Smokey Mountain experience. It’s quite the drive up the mountain (about 15 min or so) but the views make you forget about it all. Watch out for bears! Kidding but not really, we did see a mama bear and her 3 cubs heading down the mountain to go to pigeon forge. The house is in a great location as it’s only about 30 min from pigeon forge. Just make sure you have a reservation because food options are limited immediately surrounding the cabin. I would def consider the grocery delivery next time I visit. The kids loved the pool/hot tub and game room! Lots to do and it’s wonderful having a cup of coffee on the deck in the morning. The views are post card worthy! Can’t wait to come back"

"We had a wonderful 8 night stay at Redtail Horizon. It was clean, spacious and had great amenities ie pool, hot tub, game room, king master, bunk beds, kitchen utensils and assorted appliances and kitchenware. We brought in most of our supplies but there were some starting essentials. The views from every floor were spectacular and worth the winding hills up the mountain. Also, fyi the driveway was a very steep incline leading up to the home but leveled out at the top. Signs on the main road up stated snow tires or chains required in the winter. The location was great for our needs. A short drive to Foothills Parkway with more stunning views and access to other nearby towns and the National Park trails etc. It was probably about a 35-45 minute drive to Pigeon Forge/ Gaitlinburg area. The small town of Wears Valley had some shops, restaurants, gas station, winery shop and a well stocked Dollar General. The folks at Bear Necessities market were so friendly!The host responsive and helpful during our stay. We saw black bears just about everyday so be prepared with knowledge on how to stay safe. There were bear instructions provided which was helpful. WiFi was good but I had no cell service the entire time we were on the mountain. We would 100% stay at this home again in the future!"

"We were beyond blown away by this home. The views were breathtaking. The amenities at the house were great. We could have just stayed at the house and been entertained the whole time. We have stayed at many airbnbs in the area and the views were by far the best. The pool is a great size and the ability to open the door and incorporate the outdoor with the inside for swimming during the day was great."

"We would definitely book again! The house is well appointed and squeaky clean, plenty of cookware, arcade games were fun for the kids. We enjoyed the huge back decks with gorgeous views, the heated pool was perfect for warm weather, and there was plenty of comfortable seating and a variety of hangout spaces. It is about a 25 minute drive from the Parkway in Pigeon Forge, which is not a complaint as it created a great deal of peacefulness and privacy that we enjoyed, it’s just something to be aware of for others who consider location important. The layout is excellent for a larger family get together or for groups, highly recommend!!"
