★KITCHEN★ The fully-equipped kitchen boasts modern amenities, making it easy to prepare delicious meals for your family or friends. Well-appointed with a refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, microwave, and other kitchen appliances, perfect for making breakfast, lunch, or dinner throughout your stay! All pots, pans, glasses, plates, silverware, etc., are also there for you! Gather around the inviting dining table to savor your meal while enjoying the fresh mountain air.
★ENTERTAINMENT★ Start in the living room where the electric fireplace creates a cozy atmosphere, while the Roku TV gives you access to all your favorite streaming services. Then head upstairs to discover the game loft, where the energy shifts from relaxing to playful. Challenge each other to a game on the pool table, test your skills on the arcade machine, or simply hang out and enjoy the second Roku TV. It’s a great spot for friendly competition, late-night laughs, or giving everyone their own space to unwind and have fun. Outside, the entertainment continues in a way only the Smoky Mountains can offer. The upstairs porch features a bubbling hot tub, ideal for relaxing after a full day of activities. Just steps away, the outdoor seating area with a propane fire pit creates the perfect gathering place for evenings spent together, and for those who enjoy outdoor cooking, the piped-in propane grill makes mealtime part of the experience. During the warmer months, Hawks Nest offers even more to enjoy with access to a seasonal community pool, open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. It’s a great way to cool off, relax in the sun, and add another layer of fun to your stay.

Bears are indigenous to the area and are often seen near or on our properties. Please do not leave food or trash outside.
Kitchen & Outdoor Cooking: The kitchen is stocked with dishes and cookware. We provide a standard coffee maker or a Keurig, so please bring along your preferred grounds or pods. Regarding the Grill: While we often have a grill available for guest use, we cannot guarantee its availability or condition for every stay. If it is on-site, please note that propane/charcoal is the guest's responsibility. There may be some left over from previous guests, or you can pick some up at a local shop. ★IMPORTANT★ Our cabin is located in Shagbark Resort. The Resort has a security gate that requires us to collect a few bits of information before your arrival.

★PARKING★ Free parking for 3 vehicles total on premises. NOTE: The driveway leading up to the cabin is a short but steep incline. Please use caution when driving up and down the driveway, especially in inclement weather or at night.

Everything is spread out a bit, and there are amazing things to keep you busy... - World-class hiking trails of all types and skill levels - Dollywood theme park (of course!) - Putt-putt, go-karts, and pancake restaurants on every corner - Amazing dinner shows to entertain kids of all ages - Museums of all types: classic cars, Alcatraz, Titanic, and several children's museums - Restaurants of all types... "We really enjoyed our stay here! Great location and proximity to Piegon with still having a dollar general market within 8 minutes to easily grab what we need. The cabin was exceptionally clean and the hot tub is even drained after each guest. The host was very responsive with any questions & concerns that we had & went out of their way to help us. We lost cell service but the Wi-Fi works great in the cabin. The hot tub area was very private and we loved the view from the upper deck Note that the driveway may be a challenge for smaller vehicles without AWD/4wd. My car has 4wd that came in handy when navigating the sleep incline of the driveway. The beds were too firm for us but others may prefer it that way. Also at no fault to the owner, the community pool was cloudy, green, and full of leaves etc. We refused to swim in it and made our kids get out quickly and did not return so this was unfortunate as we booked hoping for that amenity. Overall, we loved our stay & would recommend"

"This cabin was absolutely delightful. My husband and I enjoyed the seclusion and the cabin was just great. The fire pit area was overgrown but we liked it that way because it encouraged the local wildlife (AKA BEARS) to come out. If you want to spot bears, we had several sightings in the front and back of the cabin!! The neighborhood was great. We will definitely be back. The only negative was the steep driveway."

"Place was awesome. Host was very responsive to any need we had. Driveway is very steep and our cars struggled the climb. Had one hiccup with linens but host quickly rectified bears bears and more bears we had a very close encounter with a juvenile bear. They just pass through. However they do check doors of cars. All and all it was a great place to stay and was much needed."

"The cabin was great!! The drive way and parking were a little cumbersome. Host did mention pulling in was steep. Didn’t realize to park would be that steep. We managed fine. Probably not a good fit for an Elderly or disabled person. Host was great and cabin was great and all the amenities. Was very clean and well taken care of. Host was very responsive and very helpful. Great location away from the crowds."

"We loved the place! Very cozy with the best views especially with the bath tub was an amazing experience. The bear theme made the cabin so cool. My wife loved it hope to go there again in future. My only suggestion would be to build a flat parking space instead of hill parking. Overall amazing experience!!!"
