Kitchen and Outdoor Cooking: The kitchen is stocked with dishes and cookware. We provide a standard coffee maker or a Keurig, so please bring along your preferred grounds or pods.
Regarding the Grill: While we often have a grill available for guest use, we cannot guarantee its availability or condition for every stay. If it is on-site, please note that propane/charcoal is the guest's responsibility. There may be some left over from previous guests, or you can pick some up at a local shop.

"We had a large group of 15 that came to attend a youth conference and stayed 2 nights. For the little time that we spent there, it was perfect and just what we needed. Plenty of games and movies for the littles and 2 large areas for the adults to sit around and chit chat. This would truly make a great place for a future church retreat, as there was a fire pit, grill, plenty of rocking chairs, and an outdoor walking trail. I think the best part was the peace and privacy (you couldn’t see another cabin around)! Everything you could need was available. We can’t thank you enough for the accommodations!!"

"Justin was awesome, timely and from his text very friendly. The house was very comfortable with lots of space. Playing cards at the big table in front of those gorgeous windows and the fire place a glow was like a hall mark moment. The kids loved the game room with the pac man and deer hunting games. The big screen tv was located just right also. The house was so great the kids were happy to stay there and hang out when we thought it was going to rain all day. I liked the layout of the house and plenty of sleeping or lounging room and a bathroom for every bedroom. Also having televisions in all the rooms kept everyone happy. We really liked it all."

"It was a great place to stay for our large family weekend getaway. I loved that both sets of grandparents were able to come and stay in the two main floor bedrooms with only 2 steps into the home. The active parents and kids could also fit in the basement with the huge tv and ample bathrooms. This is the first home we’ve ever found that could sit our entire family of 11 at the dining table. What a treat to eat meals together and relax on the deck after! My biggest fear were the stairs so I was so glad to see baby gates provided to ease my fears. Included were a high chair and pack and play as well. The driveway was a bit intimidating the first time but we figured it out quickly and had no issues getting in and out. We comfortably parked 3 SUVs."

"The cabin was beautiful and spacious. The location was perfect! Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg were just minutes away. The roads leading up to the cabin were a little steep and narrow. Luckily, it was a one way road part of the way. You would definitely need a four-wheel drive in the winter and possibly if the roads were wet. If you need a lot of room and don't mind the steep roads, then I would definitely recommend this place. I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as we did."

"Absolutely beautiful cabin! There were 10 of us & we had plenty of space. The only comments we have are the hot water heater couldn’t handle everyone getting showers around the same times. It made getting ready a little frustrating. The driveway is incredibly steep—no fault of the owner at all. It was just difficult to pull up & into for our SUV. We would absolutely stay here again, however. It was very clean & the downstairs gaming areas were perfect for our teenagers."

"June 18-21, 2025. Justin was a fantastic host! Three families gathering from Louisiana. We made memories to last a lifetime. It’s a magical place! Our stay at BLACK BEAR LODGE was everything we hoped for and more. The cabin was spotless, cozy, and beautifully decorated with that perfect mountain lodge feel. We especially loved the black bear decorative items and artwork. The peaceful location gave us space to unwind, but we were also close enough to go enjoy doing tons of fun family activities - including visiting the aquarium on a rainy day, shopping in Gatlinburg, checking out Ober Mountain, a sky tram ride to the top of a mountain for foid & fun, with carousel rides for the littles, an igloo filled with snow, an inflatable jumping pad, live music from a Bluegrass Band, bumper cars on ice, ice skating, and a mini zoo with real black bears. The kids had a blast playing in the cabin, & looking for fireflies at night. We adults loved returning to the cabin each night to relax."

"Justin is a great host. Great communication and very responsive to any questions that I had. Cabin was awesome. Very quiet and great views from the decks. Exactly as it’s portrayed in the listing. Plenty of room, very clean and made us feel right at home. Just a quick and easy 10-15 minute drive into Pigeon Forge and 15-20 minutes to Gatlinburg. Close enough to return and take a break from sightseeing before heading back out again and just far enough to be away from the hustle and bustle. Highly recommend Justin and this property for your next mountain getaway."
